In my humble opinion, a Caesar is the perfect summer bevvy. Savoury, salty, and it is typically garnished with a sampler of snacks. What’s more exciting than that?

Caesar history 101.

For my American friends: yes this drink is very similar to a Bloody Mary. But it has one very important difference: clamato juice. Or clam for short. Which is basically just tomato juice with the addition of clam juice. It was invented in 1968 in Alberta, Canada and then stole the hearts of Canadians all over the country. Read all about its history here

My fav clam ’n rim.

A caesar may sound a bit odd but it’s so delicious. There is just something about that addition of clam juice that makes the drink extra savoury, extra flavourful and just simply extra. My favourite clam juices are: Mott’s Clamato Pickled Bean, Mott’s Clamato the Works, and Walter Extra Spicy. I like all of these clammy juices because they include a good amount of spice so that I don’t have to bother adding tabasco. If you aren’t a spice fan, I’d suggest buying a mild tomato-clam juice and adding Tabasco until it’s the right amount of spiciness for you. And if you don’t like any spice, simply leave it out entirely.

There are so many delicious caesar rimmers out there. Montreal steak spice is also crazy good. Here are some options:
